TRADE, together with the School of Economics, is involved in an outreach programme, the ‘Holding Hands’ community project, whereby seamstresses in the community of Rysmierbult in the North West province supply TRADE with custom-designed and hand-made small office furnishings and business accessories. On 18 July 2016 (Mandela Day), several members of the TRADE team visited the Holding Hands seamstresses to deliver gift parcels to their children in honour of a great man who embodied kindness and humility, and had a special place in his heart for children.
