The Innovation Hub, which was established in 2001, is an accredited science and technology park.  It is a subsidiary of the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency (GGDA), which is an agency of the Gauteng Department of Economic Development (GDED). The Innovation Hub’s initiatives support innovation and has been contributing to enterprise development for more than 14 years. Targeted sectors, which contribute towards the growth of the economy, the creation of decent jobs and poverty reduction in Gauteng, include ICT and advanced manufacturing, green economy and biosciences.  

 

The bhive EDC at the NWU Vanderbijlpark Campus partnered with the Innovation Hub to bring innovative programmes to the Vaal Triangle and has been offering the Vaal-round of the CoachLab initiative since 2013, with around 30 students and 4 companies having participated thus far.
