Postdoctoral Fellows

Dr Tonja Blom

Tonja is a postdoctoral fellow under the administration of Prof Yvonne du Plessis since August 2017. She obtained her Doctorate in Business Leadership in 2015 at UNISA. Her doctorate study focuses on organisational change and leadership and her unique contribution presents a practical roadmap for companies to navigate change.

She is working as a co-researcher on the Organisational Research Culture in African Universities (ORCA) project. This project is a multi-country project and currently includes Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe. She is also actively involved in research on ‘Organisational Silence in Organisations’ and ‘Change dynamics in a multi-cultural context’. She has presented three conference papers on this research and has completed and submitted two journal articles for publication since her fellowship.

Dr Hazvineyi A Saurombe

Hazvie is a postdoctoral fellow under the administration of Prof Yvonne du Plessis since May 2017. She obtained her PhD in Business Management in 2017 at NWU. Her PhD study was on the development of an ecotourism culture framework for Zimbabwe.

She is working as a co-researcher, specifically on the qualitative phase, of the Organisational Research Culture in African Universities (ORCA) project. This project is a multi-country project and currently includes Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and Zimbabwe. She is also busy with research in ‘Organisational Silence’ pertaining to Academics and Women in Africa. During her postdoctoral studies she has presented two conference papers on organisational silence research and is busy completing journal articles for publication.
