AN EPITOME OF SERVANT LEADERS

From the School of Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management, Dr Marissa Brouwers in her capacity as 2019/2020 President for the Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology of South Africa (SIOPSA) hosted a vast amount of webinars and interviews with various experts in the field of Industrial Psychology. The main aim of these webinars was to equip professionals in the field of Industrial Psychology to manage their workforce during and beyond the time of the Covid-19 pandemic and to empower employees, the public and students on a diverse range of topics.

 

Some of the topics involved; the role of the Industrial Psychologist during and beyond this time of Covid, managing abnormal behaviour at the workplace from a crisis management perspective, the Covid-19 disruption: an opportunity for the industrial psychologist to show impact, Disaster and crises management on the frontline- The IOPs toolbox; Navigating turbulent times-Insights from Applied organizational Neuroscience; Well-being an anecdote for challenging times; Leading out of adversity – insights on how to respond.

 

During an interview with SIOPSA President Dr Marissa Brouwers, Prof Lene Graupner gave an in-depth discussion on what the role of the Industrial Psychologist is during and beyond the Covid-19 pandemic, she further presented at a SIOPSA webinar and gave an in-depth discussion on what should be included in the IOP toolbox to manage a disaster and crises such as the pandemic.
