For Nelson Mandela Day on the 18th of July, the School of Management Sciences decided to have a charity drive for the Potchefstroom Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). Colleagues were asked to donate blankets, food, toys and/or cash for the shelter. Dr Goldberg and his team set off early on Saturday morning to collect parcels from colleagues and friends all over town and headed to the PAWS shelter to make the donation.

A whopping R5000 was raised for the drive. Mr Darren Kruger from PAWS received the donation and thanked the school for their contribution. We are proud of all colleagues who donated their time and money for this event given the difficult times in which we find ourselves with the COVID-19 pandemic. It is because of such donations that the PAWS animals could sleep warm at night with full bellies. Thank you to all those who participated in the Penny 4 Paws charity drive.
