
Dr Erisher Woyo (FHEA) is a faculty member at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School in the United Kingdom, where he teaches sustainability, strategy, research methodology, and marketing analytics. He also holds an adjunct position as an Extraordinary Research Scientist at North-West University, South Africa. He is an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Insights and actively reviews for several reputable international journals. He has successfully supervised 3 Ph.D. students from diverse international backgrounds. His research focuses on travel and consumer behaviour in distressed economies, destination branding, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and the intersection of services and technology, with a particular emphasis on African contexts. His work also explores women’s empowerment, disability inclusion, and the competitiveness and resilience of destinations operating in challenging environments. Through his research, he supports the development of sustainable practices, particularly within regional and emerging economies. His contributions to the field are recognised globally through his scholarly publications, editorial roles, and professional memberships, including the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and the International Federation for Information Technologies in Travel and Tourism (IFITT).
