Dr. Jonathan Calof is a renowned expert in intelligence and foresight, specializing in their application to innovation. He serves as the UNESCO co-chair on anticipatory systems for innovation and venture creation. As a full professor at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, he combines research and consulting to assist organizations in developing anticipatory systems that generate key insights for future innovations.
With over 1000 speaking engagements worldwide, Dr. Calof has shared his expertise on topics such as market insight, competitive intelligence, foresight, and analytics. He has worked with numerous companies and government agencies globally to enhance their capabilities in these areas. His contributions to fact-based decision making have earned him several prestigious awards, including Frost and Sullivan's lifetime achievement award in competitive intelligence.
Dr. Calof holds honorary positions at various institutions, including Yunnan Normal University in China, the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics and Knowledge in Moscow, Russia, and North-West University in South Africa. He also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of New Brunswick. Additionally, he is involved in multiple foresight and intelligence publications as a board member.
