More than eighty percent of the consultation and advisory services are rendered to previously disadvantage new and existing business people. Whereas the more sophisticated business people, who are a minority, can at least contribute towards a portion of the costs involved, the experience is that the majority of business people can make no contribution whatsoever.
Counselling and advisory services include the following:
- General on-site consultations;
- Specific on-site consultations;
- Office consultations;
- After-care and follow-up visits (mentoring); and
- Telephonic and written advice.
The SBAB provides assistance to all business people. These include businesses from the following sectors, which are privately and independently owned:
