PhD Colloquium abstract submissions
We are inviting current doctoral students to attend the GPPC2025 PhD Colloquium that will be held Wednesday 28 May 2025 during this conference.
Who should attend?
Collaboration lies at the heart of all successful academic careers. This PhD Colloquium (as part of the Global People Practice Conference) is designed for doctoral students in the field of Industrial Psychology, Human Resource Management and Development, and Labour Relations Management, looking to connect with and learn from field experts and fellow students to help advance their career. The conference and this colloquium are in person at Khaya iBhubesi, Parys, Free State.
Submissions are invited for extended PhD colloquium abstracts that should be a minimum of 750 and maximum of 1 000 words and should contain:
- an outline description of the theoretical framework and concepts
- the research design and approach to data analysis (where applicable)
- Project development summary
Please submit your abstracts on or before 31 March 2025. The abstracts will be added to the digital conference programme.
Your organisers and panel
Your PhD Colloquium organiser is Dr Neil Barnard (Barnard.Neil@nwu.ac.za) who will establish a dynamic panel of mentors, including Prof Elaine Farndale (keynote speaker). This panel list will be updated here.
Best PhD colloquium presentation
A best presentation award will be presented with such a certification and a financial award (valued at around $150 as a gift card). This award will be adjudicated by the PhD Colloquium panel and presented the final day of the conference, as indicated in the programme.
