SSIRC 2022

The hybrid Social Sciences International Research Conference (SSIRC) 2022, jointly organized by NWU and OU in Mauritius, was a great success. A total of 85 in-person delegates attended, with 59 virtual presentations over the two days. The pre-conference workshops attracted a large contingency and were well received by the delegates and PhD students.

The conference provided an opportunity for researchers in Social Sciences to present a paper either in-person or on the virtual platform. The conference topic areas were diverse and included economics, finance, business management, corporate and public governance, political science, sociology, marketing, sport management etc. A unique stream for PhD students’ articles was well supported, and the PhD round session proved invaluable to those who attended.
