Overview

This course will teach you the principals of business management with a specific focus on safety management. You will be exposed to the main focus areas of safety management, namely safety auditing, health and safety systems, safety risk management, incident investigations and workplace safety that includes various areas from basic safety concepts, ergonomics, hygiene, construction, hazardous substances, amongst other areas. Health and safety are a key element in organisations and it isa challenging and specialised field. The safety professional interacts with numerous other specialists in their working environment, including health practitioners, occupational hygienists and environmental specialists to establish and implement risk controls and management processes to support sustainable business operations.

Admission requirements

  • APS of 24
  • Mathematics level 3 (40% or more) or Mathematical Literacy level 6 (70% or more)
  • Afrikaans or English level 4 (50% or more)
