Overview

This course will teach you Expose you to a number of opportunities within the sport business, private and public sector which will effectively prepare you for a career in a variety of sport related settings or positions. These include, but are not limited to sport business managers, administrators, tertiary institution sport bureau managers, school sport managers, provincial sport development officers and managers, high performance institution managers, provincial level sport administrators, local sport club and community centre managers, national level sport federation managers, professional sport teams managers and sport franchise entity owners and managers. Through this degree you will be given the knowledge, tools and practical applications to develop your skills in the world of sport and business management, enabling you to become a competitive force in the sport industry.

Then you will learn to:

• Develop sport management skills

• Plan and organise sport events

• Develop strategic sport management skills

• How to manage high performance sport teams or players

• How to manage community or local sport development clubs

 

Admission requirements

  • APS of 24
  • Mathematics level 3 (40% or more) or Mathematical Literacy level 6 (70% or more)
  • Afrikaans or English level 3 (40% or more)
