Sport Business Management

Overview

This qualification offers exposure to numerous opportunities within the sport business, private, and public sectors, effectively preparing students for careers in various sport-related roles. Through this degree, students will gain the knowledge, tools, and practical experience needed to excel in sport and business management, positioning them as a competitive force in the sport industry. Some elements which are covered include, sport management skills, the planning and organising of sport events, the management of high-performance sport teams or players and the management of community or local sport development clubs.

  • Full time programme: Three years presented on the Vanderbijlpark Campus (Qualification code: 5FPH07)
  • This programme is not presented on the Mahikeng- or Potchefstroom Campuses.

Admission requirements

Full time programme: BCom in Management Sciences with Marketing and Tourism Management

  • APS of 24
  • Mathematics level 3 (40% or more) or Mathematical Literacy level 6 (70% or more)
  • Afrikaans or English level 4 (50% or more)
  • Additional requirements may apply as per Faculty yearbook/calender
