Prof Mostert Highlights the Power of Entrepreneurship at West Ukrainian National University Conference
In March 2025, the West Ukrainian National University hosted its 18th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists and Students, a significant event that brought together emerging leaders, researchers, and innovators from around the world. This year, the conference had the honour of welcoming Prof Clarise Mostert from the School of Management Sciences, as a keynote speaker.
The presentation, titled “Cultivating Entrepreneurial Mindsets for a Resilient Global Economy,” emphasised the critical role of innovation, adaptability, and entrepreneurial thinking in driving sustainable growth in a rapidly changing world. Reflecting on the importance of entrepreneurial mindsets, Prof Mostert highlighted how these qualities not only fuel individual success but also strengthen economies and societies as a whole.
"Entrepreneurship isn’t just about starting businesses – it’s about adopting a mindset that embraces change, solves complex problems, and creates value even in challenging times," Prof Mostert noted during the address.
The event was particularly meaningful given the resilience and determination of the Ukrainian people, who continue to demonstrate remarkable strength despite ongoing challenges. Prof Mostert expressed deep respect for the Ukrainian students and academic community, praising their unwavering commitment to progress and innovation.
"Witnessing the spirit and resilience of Ukraine, even in the face of adversity, is profoundly inspiring. This conference serves as a powerful reminder of the human capacity for optimism and forward-thinking," she shared.
The conference also provided a platform for cross-border collaboration and idea exchange, reinforcing the importance of global partnerships in fostering innovation and economic resilience.
The keynote concluded on a note of optimism and encouragement, calling on young scientists and entrepreneurs to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation and resilience.
